Travel Advisory for Yemen
10 November 2023
In view of the ongoing civil war in Yemen, military strikes targetting Yemen, and the volatile situation in the region, Singaporeans are advised to defer all travel to Yemen. Singaporeans currently in Yemen should leave the country immediately and not put themselves at serious risk. They should bear in mind the risks and uncertainties associated with overland travel and note that Yemen’s neighbouring countries have imposed strict border control measures.
Singaporeans who choose to remain in Yemen should remain vigilant, monitor local developments closely, as well as avoid protests and large gatherings. They also strongly encouraged to e-Register with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs so that we can contact you should the need arise.
Singapore has no diplomatic representation in Yemen, which constrains our ability to extend consular assistance in an emergency. Singaporeans who need assistance to depart Yemen, or the Next-of-Kin of Singaporeans who are still in Yemen, can contact the Embassy of the Republic of Singapore in Muscat or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Duty Office (24-hours) at:
