Visa requirement for foreigners
 
If your travel document is issued by one of the countries/places listed at https://www.ica.gov.sg/enter-transit-depart/entering-singapore/visa_requirements, you will require a valid Singapore entry visa to travel to, and seek entry into, Singapore.

 

Types of Visas

  • Business Visa for individuals attending business negotiations, discussions, conferences, seminars, etc.
  • Social Visa for individuals travelling to Singapore for a holiday or private visit.
  • Entering Singapore with approval letter from Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) or Ministry of Manpower (MOM)

 

Visa Application

All social and business visa applicants should lodge their visa applications at authorised visa agents  (126.68KB)during office hours.

The Visa and Consular Section of the Singapore Embassy will continue to process visa applications for Diplomatic and Official Passport holders who require social or business visas to enter Singapore. The visa and consular counter is open between 9.30 am and 11.30 am and 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm from Monday to Friday and closed on Weekends and Public Holidays.

 

Documents required to apply for an entry visa for business or social visits:

 

  • Duly completed Form 14A signed by you.
  • Your recent passport-sized colour photograph taken against a white background within the last three months.
  • A photocopy of your passport biodata page (valid for at least six months from the date of your entry into Singapore). 
  • A completed Form V39A (letter of introduction for visa application (LOI)), which may be completed by a local contact* in Singapore.

Additional supporting documents may be required on a case-by-case basis.

*The local contact must be either a Singapore citizen (SC) or a Singapore permanent resident (PR) who is at least 21 years old with a SingPass/CorpPass account. If you are applying for an entry visa for business visit (attending business negotiations or discussions), the local contact must be acting on behalf of the Singapore-registered business entity. LOIs issued by your Embassy can also be accepted, if you are unable to secure an LOI from a local contact to support your visa application for social and business visits.

 

Visa Processing Fee

 

With effect from 1 January 2023, the processing fee per visa application submitted is 780 Baht (equivalent to S$30). This processing fee should be made upfront at the time of submission. It is non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the application or if the application is withdrawn after submission.

 

Processing Time

Three to five working days, excluding the day of submission.  Some applications may take longer to process.
