Deputy Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vu Van Ninh, who is visiting Singapore under the S R Nathan Fellowship, called on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on7 November 2013.
During the call, both DPM Ninh and PM Lee noted the excellent state of Singapore-Vietnam relations following the elevation of bilateral ties to a Strategic Partnership in September 2013. DPM Ninh and PM Lee also had a good exchange on Vietnam’s economic developments and priorities, and agreed to cooperate closely and work towards the expeditious conclusion of the Trans-Pacific Partnership negotiations.
Tomorrow, DPM Ninh will be hosted to lunch by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Tharman Shanmugaratnam before departing Singapore.
