MFA Spokesman's Comments in response to media queries on the attacks at the Kunming Train Station, China


In response to media queries on the attacks at the Kunming Train Station, China, the MFA Spokesman said:

“Singapore strongly condemns the violent attacks at the Kunming Train Station on the evening of 1 March 2014.  Such attacks on innocent civilians cannot be condoned or justified under any circumstances.  We express our deepest condolences to the victims and their families and wish those injured a quick recovery.

Our Consulate-General in Guangzhou is in touch with Singaporeans in Kunming and there have been no reports of affected Singaporeans thus far.
