          Senior Minister of State (SMS), Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of Transport Mrs Josephine Teo is leading a Singapore business delegation on a working visit to Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, the People’s Republic of China from 10 to 12 April 2017. 

          SMS Teo called on Governor of Heilongjiang Provincial People’s Government Mr Lu Hao today.  They affirmed the warm bilateral relations between Singapore and China, and discussed the developments in Singapore and Heilongjiang.  Governor Lu welcomed the signing of the four commercial agreements between Singapore companies and their Chinese partners in the areas of logistics, hospitality, education and human resource training, which were concrete outcomes from the investment seminar co-organised by the Singapore Embassy to the PRC, Singapore Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China (SingCham) and Heilongjiang Province in June 2016.  SMS Teo and Governor Lu agreed to continue exploring opportunities to deepen cooperation and exchanges.  Executive Vice Governor of Heilongjiang Provincial People’s Government Mr Li Haitao hosted the delegation to lunch. 

          SMS Teo also met with, and was hosted to dinner by Secretary of the Communist Party of China Harbin Municipal Committee Mr Chen Haibo.  SMS Teo and Secretary Chen, along with Singapore Ambassador to China Mr Stanley Loh and Vice Mayor of the Harbin Municipal Government Mr Shi Jiaxing, co-witnessed the signing of the aforementioned commercial agreements.
