His Excellency Moon Jae-in, President of the Republic of Korea, will make a State Visit to Singapore from 11 to 13 July 2018 at the invitation of President Halimah Yacob. President Moon will be accompanied by his wife, First Lady Madam Kim Jung-sook, ministers and senior officials.
President Moon will receive a Welcome Ceremony at the Istana on 12 July 2018, followed by a courtesy call on President Halimah, who will also host a State Banquet in honour of President Moon. President Moon will also meet Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and be hosted to lunch.
During the visit, President Moon and Prime Minister Lee will witness the exchange of several Memoranda of Understanding to enhance our cooperation in the areas of trade, environment and Small & Medium Enterprises & start-ups. President Moon and Madam Kim will visit the Singapore Botanic Gardens where an orchid will be named in their honour.
President Moon will deliver the 42nd Singapore Lecture on 13 July 2018 titled “ROK and ASEAN: Partners for Achieving Peace and Co-prosperity in East Asia”, which will be moderated by Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean.
