The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, His Excellency Jacek Czaputowicz, is on his introductory visit to Singapore, in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Poland and Singapore.
Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan met with and hosted lunch for Minister Czaputowicz today. They welcomed the friendly and growing bilateral relationship, and discussed areas to enhance ties. They also reaffirmed our shared commitment to international law, free trade and multilateralism. Minister Czaputowicz expressed Poland’s continued support for the recently signed EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (EUSFTA), EU-Singapore Investment Protection Agreement (EUSIPA) and EU-Singapore Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (ESPCA).
Minister Czaputowicz will attend the Poland Constitution Day Reception organised by the Embassy of Poland this evening, and meet representatives from the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) tomorrow. He departs Singapore on 27 April 2019.
