Visit by Deputy Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies and Minister for Finance Heng Swee Keat to Brunei Darussalam, 10 November 2020

Deputy Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies and Minister for Finance Heng Swee Keat made a visit to Brunei Darussalam on 10 November 2020. Deputy Prime Minister Heng had an audience with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and offered condolences on behalf of the Singapore Government on the passing of His Majesty’s son, His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim, on 24 October 2020.

 

Deputy Prime Minister Heng also called on and was hosted to lunch by His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office of Brunei Darussalam today. Deputy Prime Minister Heng and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Billah reaffirmed the excellent state of bilateral relations and explored ways to continue deepening collaboration.

 

Deputy Prime Minister Heng was accompanied by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Foreign Affairs and Second Minister for Education Dr Mohamad Maliki bin Osman, and officials from the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The delegation will return to Singapore this evening.
