Travel Notice for Jordan

Given the ongoing tensions in the Middle East and large-scale demonstrations across Jordan, some of which have led to clashes between protesters and security forces, Singaporeans travelling to or residing in Jordan are advised to bevigilant and take all the necessary precautions for their personal safety. They are advised to avoid large crowds, protests and demonstrations, monitor the local news and heed the advice of local authorities. Singaporeans should also avoid travelling to areas near the Jordanian border with Syria.

In addition, Singaporeans, who are in or travelling to Jordan, are encouraged to eRegister with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at https://eregister.mfa.gov.sg so that we can contact them should the need arise. Singaporeans in need of consular assistance may contact the Singapore Honorary Consulate-General in Amman or the 24-hour Ministry of Foreign Affairs Duty Office at:
