Michael has been downgraded to a Tropical Storm and is headed towards southeastern Virginia. According to the US National Hurricane Center (NHC), tropical storm force wind gusts will continue across much of central and eastern North Carolina into southeastern Virginia. Flash flooding is also occurring over portions of North Carolina and southern Virginia. The Governor of Virginia recently declared a state of emergency ahead of Tropical Storm Michael.
