I was looking for a change in my career and decided to join MFA. I have been in various roles in my career thus far. These included being a Personal Assistant to senior management and a posting to Tokyo Mission as an Assistant Communications Officer. One of the most memorable moments on the job involved assisting the Head of Mission's spouse in Tokyo with her ladies programme where I organised several charity events to provide aid for children. I found the work meaningful and I felt a deep sense of achievement after the completion of every event. Currently, as a Human Resource Assistant in HQ, I assist in the deployment and posting of officers, administer the Mentorship Programme and the Postgraduate Award Programme.
Whether abroad or in Singapore, work in MFA is challenging and rewarding. Knowing that I contribute to Singapore and the continued success of MFA motivates me to strive for excellence in my work. I am thankful for the exposure I have gained in MFA and I know I can look forward to more along the way. If growth and meaning is what you are looking for in a career, look no further.
