Ministry of Foreign Affairs Press Release - Presentation of Credentials - 21 June 2001

The following Heads of Mission presented their Credentials to President S R Nathan in separate ceremonies at the Istana today:

(a) The High Commissioner of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Mr Syed Maudud Ali, who has succeeded Mr Ashfaqur Rahman;

(b) The Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary, Dr Gyorgy Nanovfszky, who has succeeded Mr Lajos Tamas. Dr Nanovfszky is the first Hungarian Ambassador resident in Singapore. His predecessor was accredited from Jakarta;

(c) The High Commissioner of the Republic of Kenya, Mr Lazarus Ombai Amayo. He is the first Kenyan High Commissioner to Singapore and is accredited from New Delhi.
