The Government of the Republic of Singapore, with the agreement of the Government of the Kingdom of Norway, has appointed Mr Svein Aaser as Singapore's Honorary Consul-General in Oslo, Kingdom of Norway.
Mr Aaser, 57, obtained his Master in Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration in 1970. He is currently the President and CEO of Den norske Bank ASA. He was Deputy CEO of Nycomed Amersham plc between 1997 and 1998. He was also President and CEO of former Hafslund Nycomed AS from 1987 to 1997. He was bestowed the Commander of the Order of Dannebrog in 1993.
Mr Aaser is married with four children.
