11TH BRUNEI-SINGAPORE EXCHANGE VISIT

Singapore will be hosting the 11th Brunei-Singapore Exchange Visit from 19-21 August 2004. The visit is part of a series of annual exchanges initiated by then Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong in 1990 to promote interactions between Brunei and Singapore leaders, civil servants and businessmen in an informal setting.

Special Advisor to his Majesty the Sultan of Brunei and Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Dato Haji Isa will be leading the high-level delegation from Brunei consisting of Ministers, senior officials, and businessmen.

This year's programme will include a courtesy call by senior members of the Brunei delegation on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. There will be separate meetings by the Ministers and senior officials to discuss topics of mutual interest. The Bruneian business delegation will also meet with the Singapore business community. In addition, Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo will host the Bruneian delegation to two dinners and there will be a friendly golf tournament on 21 August 2004. Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong will be taking part in the golf tournament as the Guest-of-Honour.
