Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will visit Vietnam (6-7 December 2004) and the Philippines (9-10 December 2004) as part of his on-going series of introductory visits to key ASEAN capitals.
For the visit to Vietnam, Prime Minister Lee will be accompanied by Mrs Lee Hsien Loong, Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo, Minister for Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang, and senior officials. Prime Minister Lee will have a meeting with Prime Minister Phan Van Khai, who will host Prime Minister Lee and his delegation to an official dinner. Prime Minister Lee will have meetings with President Tran Duc Luong, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nong Duc Manh, and other senior Vietnamese leaders.
For the visit to the Philippines, Prime Minister Lee will be accompanied by Mrs Lee Hsien Loong, Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo, and senior officials. Prime Minister Lee will meet with President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, as well as Senate President Franklin Drilon and Speaker of the House of Representatives Jose de Venecia. President Arroyo will also host Prime Minister Lee and his delegation to an official lunch.
