In response to media queries, the MFA Spokesman said:
"The UN Secretary-General's Special Coordinator for Humanitarian Assistance for Tsunami Affected Communities, Ms Margareta Wahlstrom, called on the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr George Yeo, on 18 Jan 2005. They had a wide-ranging discussion on the relief and reconstruction efforts for the tsunami affected countries. Ms Wahlstrom thanked Singapore for its contributions to relief efforts for affected countries. She said that she was impressed by the professionalism of the SAF."
