President S R Nathan will make a State Visit to Malaysia from 11 to 15 April 2005 at the invitation of His Majesty the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia Sultan XII Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin.
The President will be accompanied by Mrs Nathan. Their delegation includes Mr Khaw Boon Wan, Minister for Health, Mr Zainul Abidin, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and senior officials.
The President will visit Kuala Lumpur and Kuching. In Kuala Lumpur, the Agong will host a State Banquet for President. President will meet with Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, in the absence of Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi. President will also meet with members of the Singapore community. In Kuching, President will be received by the Governor Tun Abang Muhammad Salahuddin and Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud.
During President Nathan's absence, the Speaker Mr Abdullah Tarmugi will exercise the functions of the office of the President.
