10 November 2005
Your Majesty,
Singapore strongly condemns the cowardly and barbaric acts of terrorism in Amman, which have targeted innocent civilians just after the Eid celebrations.
These attacks are an affront to all nations and civilised peoples. They only strengthen our resolve to defeat this common scourge of terrorism. We stand together with Jordan in this difficult time, and will provide all the assistance we can offer to help Jordan respond to this tragedy.
I am confident that under your able leadership, the government and people of Jordan will stand firm and steadfast, and bring to justice those responsible for perpetrating these attacks.
On behalf of the people and Government of Singapore, I would like to convey our condolences and sympathies to the victims and their families.
Please accept, Your Majesty, the assurances of my highest consideration.
