Singapore will be hosting the MFA-Wisma Putra Games on 4-5 February 2006. The Games are part of an informal exchange to forge closer links between the Foreign Ministries of Singapore and Malaysia.
As in previous Games, the Foreign Ministers of Singapore and Malaysia will lead the respective delegations. The Malaysian delegation will be led by Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar while Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo will lead the Singapore participants.
This year's Games will involve joint teams from Singapore and Malaysia taking part in friendly competition in golf, tennis, badminton, soccer and bowling. There will be more chances for younger officers from both sides to interact.
In addition to Foreign Ministry officials, Malaysia's Deputy Foreign Minister Joseph Salang, Minister of State (Foreign Affairs) Zainul Abidin Rasheed and Members of Parliament from the two countries will be participating in the Games.
