President S R Nathan will make a State Visit to Indonesia from 19 to 23 March 2006. President Nathan will visit Jakarta from 19 to 21 March and Yogyakarta from 21 to 23 March.
In Jakarta, President Nathan will call on President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, who will host a State Banquet in the President's honour. President Nathan will also be meeting Vice-President Jusuf Kalla, as well as other eminent Indonesians. President Nathan will also attend a reception with the Singaporean community in Jakarta and visit the ASEAN Secretariat.
In Yogyakarta, President Nathan will call on the Governor of Yogyakarta Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X, who will host an official dinner at the Kraton in the President's honour. President Nathan will also be visiting the Borobudur and Prambanan temples, both of which are symbols of Indonesia's rich historical and cultural heritage.
President Nathan will be accompanied by Minister for Information, Communication and the Arts Dr Lee Boon Yang, Minister of State for Community Development, Youth and Sports Mrs Yu-Foo Yee Shoon, Members of Parliament Ms Irene Ng and Mr Ahmad Khalis as well as senior officials.
