Minister George Yeo participated in the Fifth Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Ministerial Meeting in Doha, Qatar. The Meeting adopted the Doha Declaration, which reaffirms the determination of its twenty eight member countries to advance cooperation under the ACD framework. Minister Yeo also met with Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabr Al-Thani and Finance Minister and Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Yousif Hussein Kamal and exchanged views on furthering bilateral cooperation. Additionally, Minister Yeo held a bilateral meeting with the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh HE Morshed Khan.
Minister also had a dinner meeting with senior Islamic cleric Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, Head of the European Council for Fatwa and Research and Chairman of Islamonline.net.
