The Singapore Government has pledged US$50,000 to the Flash Appeal for the Humanitarian needs of Lebanon, that was launched by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. This contribution goes towards international efforts to provide for the emergency food, shelter, healthcare and protection needs of civilians affected by the ongoing situation in Lebanon. The Singapore Government's contribution is intended to kick-start a nation-wide appeal that the Singapore Red Cross Society (SRCS) will be launching for its "Lebanon Humanitarian Fund". |
