MFA Spokesman's Comments on the meeting between President S R Nathan and Egyptian President Hosny Mubarak

On the meeting between President S R Nathan and Egyptian President Hosny Mubarak, the MFA Spokesman said:

"President Nathan met President Mubarak today. The meeting was warm and cordial. They noted that bilateral relations between Singapore and Egypt have strengthened over the years. President Nathan expressed appreciation for President Mubarak's support of the Asia-Middle East Dialogue. They also discussed developments in the Middle East. President Nathan renewed his invitation to President Mubarak to make a State Visit to Singapore, which the President accepted."
