Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has written to President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to express sympathies over the outbreak of floods and mudslides in southern Luzon. In his letter, Prime Minister Lee said that he was saddened to hear of the floods and mudslides in southern Luzon, which has resulted in widespread damage and loss of many lives. On behalf of the people and Government of Singapore, Prime Minister Lee conveyed Singapore's deep condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims and their loved ones. Prime Minister Lee also conveyed to President Arroyo that Singapore would be providing humanitarian supplies to assist in the relief efforts.
