Standing Deputy Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Mr Somsavat Lengsavad will make an official visit to Singapore from 17-21 December 2006 at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Law, Professor S. Jayakumar.
DPM Somsavat Lengsavad will be accompanied by his spouse Mrs Bounkongmany Lengsavad, Lao Minister of Labour and Social Welfare Mrs Onechanh Thammavong and senior officials.
During his visit, DPM Somsavat Lengsavad will meet DPM Jayakumar and receive briefings at various ministries and statutory boards on public governance and socio-economic development.
