Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Zainul Abidin Rasheed will make an official visit to Manama, Bahrain from 11 to 12 December 2006 at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain His Excellency Sheikh Khalid Bin Ahmad Bin Mohamed Al-Khalifa.
During the visit, Senior Minister of State Zainul Abidin Rasheed is expected to call on the Crown Prince of Bahrain, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, the Minister of Interior and the Minister of Information and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. The Senior Minister of State will also meet with Singaporeans working and living in Bahrain and attend the official launch of Bahrain Bay, a new development project involving CapitaLand and a local partner.
Prior to his official visit, Senior Minister of State Zainul Abidin Rasheed attended the 3rd IISS Regional Security Summit in Manama from 8 to 10 December 2006.
