Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Zainul Abidin Rasheed called on the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa on the first day of a two-day official visit to Bahrain. During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the good relations between Singapore and Bahrain and to explore opportunities for further collaboration under the Singapore-Bahrain Total Partnership Programme. The areas of cooperation discussed included health, finance, information, housing and urban planning.
The Senior Minister of State also met with Minister of Information and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs His Excellency Dr Muhammad Abdul-Ghaffar Abdullah and was hosted to lunch by Minister of Finance His Excellency Sheikh Ahmad Bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa. Bahrain's Minister of Health Dr Nada Haffadh attended the lunch along with senior representatives from the Bahrain Ministry of Finance, Bahrain Economic Development Board, Temasek and CapitaLand. Senior Minister of State Zainul Abidin Rasheed is also scheduled to call on Minister of Interior His Excellency Sheikh Rashid Bin Abdallah Al-Khalifa and Minister of Industry and Commerce His Excellency Dr Hassan Bin Abdallah Al-Fakhro.
