The Ukrainian First Vice Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, His Excellency Mykola Azarov, called on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on 25 January 2007. Mr Azarov is on an official visit to Singapore from 24 to 27 January 2007, at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Law of the Republic of Singapore, His Excellency, Professor S. Jayakumar.
During the meeting, both leaders agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation and discussed ways to promote greater interaction and understanding, especially between the business communities. They also exchanged views on the challenges of globalisation, and the strategies to foster economic growth and maintain economic competitiveness.
