A delegation comprising more than 30 senior officials from Jiangsu Province, China, are in Singapore for a training programme on Urban Development and Management from 4 to 13 April 2007. The delegation is headed by Jiangsu Vice Governor Qiu He, and is the second of two delegations from the province visiting under the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng. The first visit, which was led by Nanjing Party Secretary Luo Zhijun, was successfully concluded in December last year.
Minister Khaw Boon Wan will be hosting a welcome dinner for the delegation. Mr Qiu will call on DPM Wong and Senior Minister of State Balaji Sadasivan. During the study visit, the delegation will attend briefings and discussion sessions organised by various ministries and agencies. They will also attend lectures conducted by the National University of Singapore.
