Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will be visiting Washington DC and San Francisco from 2 to 8 May 2007. PM last visited the US in 2005.
In Washington DC, PM will meet with President George Bush, Vice-President Richard Cheney, Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez and Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson. PM will also deliver the keynote address at the Asia Society-US ASEAN Business Council Gala Dinner to commemorate the 40th anniversary of ASEAN's founding and 30 years of ASEAN-US relations.
In San Francisco, PM will meet private sector leaders in the energy, electronics, information technology, and media industries.
PM will be accompanied by Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr George Yeo (Washington DC segment only), Minister of State for Trade and Industry Mr Lee Yi Shyan, Members of Parliament Mr Arthur Fong and Mr Michael Palmer, as well as officials from the Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
