OFFICIAL VISIT OF INDIAN EXTERNAL AFFAIRS MINISTER PRANAB MUKHERJEE,
18 - 20 JUNE 2007
The Indian External Affairs Minister, Pranab Mukherjee, will be in Singapore for an Official Visit from 18 - 20 June 2007. This will be his first visit to Singapore as External Affairs Minister.
Minister Mukherjee will be accompanied by External Affairs Secretary (East) N Ravi and other senior officials from the External Affairs Ministry.
During the visit, Minister Mukherjee will call on President S R Nathan, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew and Deputy Prime Minister, Co-ordinating Minister for National Security & Minister for Law Prof S Jayakumar. Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo will host Minister Mukherjee to lunch on 19 June and Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean will host him to breakfast on 20 June. In addition, Minister Mukherjee will be delivering a public lecture on "India's Foreign Policy Priorities", jointly organised by the S Rajaratnam School of International Studies and the Institute of South Asian Studies. He will also be present at the Institute of South East Asian Studies' book launch of Chalo Delhi, the 12th and final volume of the collected works of Subhas Chandra Bose.
