Former UK Prime Minister and current Middle East Quartet Special Representative, Mr Tony Blair, was in Singapore on a visit from 8-9 November 2007. Mr Blair called on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, at the Istana at noon. Mr Blair and Mr Lee discussed a wide range of issues, including extremist terrorism, regional developments, and the situation in the Middle East. Mr Lee updated Mr Blair on recent political developments in China and India, and shared his views on the Southeast Asian economies. The two leaders also exchanged views on the current state of the Israel-Palestine conflict.
