In response to media queries on the Singaporeans reported missing in Cambodia the MFA Spokesman said:
"The next of kin of the five missing Singaporeans have arrived in Phnom Penh. They have visited the site of the accident. They are being briefed by the Cambodian authorities and our Ambassador in Cambodia on the ongoing search and rescue operations. The SAF has sent a team of eight from the RSN's Naval Diving Unit to assist the Cambodian authorities in their search and rescue efforts. The team consists of a Mission Commander, six divers and a medic trained in underwater rescue. The team arrived in Cambodia this afternoon at 1720 hrs Singapore time. They will conduct sonar scanning this evening as part of the ongoing search and rescue effort."
