Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr Balaji Sadasivan, will be in Paris to participate in the ministerial-level Conference of Donors for the State of Palestine on 17 December 2007 at the invitation of France and the Conference Co-chairs Norway, the European Commission and the Quartet's Special Representative, Mr Tony Blair. He will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Paris Conference will be an occasion for the international community to pledge support for the 2008-2010 Palestinian Reform and Development Plan following from the Annapolis Conference on 27 November 2007. Singapore's participation represents our commitment to support all efforts to secure a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East and the goal of two states, Israel and Palestine, living side by side in peace and security.
