Please accept my warmest congratulations on your re-election as the Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China. Under your able leadership, China has overcome many challenges, and transformed its economy and society. I am confident that you will continue to lead China forward in its path of reform and opening up, and achieve stability, development and progress for China.
Singapore and China have long enjoyed excellent relations. Economic and people-to-people links between our two countries are robust and rapidly growing stronger.
I warmly recall our last meeting in November when you visited Singapore and look forward to seeing you again in Beijing this October to discuss ways to promote even closer Singapore-China ties.
