The Government has appointed Mr Teng Theng Dar as Singapore's Ambassador to Oman. He will be resident in Singapore.
Mr Teng is currently Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Business Federation. He is also currently the Interim Co-Chair of APEC Business Advisory Council and Vice-Chairman of Middle East Business Group, Singapore Business Federation.
Mr Teng previously held the appointments of General Manager, Regional Business Development of TV Media Holdings Pte Ltd from 1996 to 1997, Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of Consolidated Foods Australia Ltd from 1998 to 2002, Chief Executive Officer of ABR Holdings end 2001 to end 2002, and Chief Executive Officer of Intraco Ltd from 2002 to February 2008.

BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY
Mr Teng Theng Dar (邓 腾达) is currently Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Business Federation - the apex chamber of the Singapore business communities.
Mr. Teng was born on 19 July 1951 in Singapore. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Commerce) from Waseda University, Japan in 1979.
Mr Teng joined the International Division of Kao Corporation, Japan in 1979 and was with the company until January 1992. He was the Director, New Business Development in P T Rodamas Co Ltd, Indonesia from 1992 to 1995. From 1996 to 1997, he was appointed as General Manager, Regional Business Development of TV Media Holdings Pte Ltd. In 1997, he became the Director, Business Development of Nostrad International Pte Ltd. From 1998 to beginning 2002, he was the Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of Consolidated Foods Australia Ltd and during the same period served as member of the Food Industry Advisory Council, Victoria State, Australia. He served as CEO of ABR Holdings Limited between end 2001 to end 2002. He was the Chief Executive Officer of Intraco Ltd from Dec 2002 to Feb 2008.
He is currently the Interim Co-Chair of the APEC Business Advisory Council and Vice-Chairman of Middle East Business Group, Singapore Business Federation.
Mr Teng is married to Ms Joyce Tan and they have two children.
