MFA Press Statement: Working Visit by Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Zainul Abidin Rasheed to the Islamic Republic of Iran, 30 April to 5 May 2008

Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Zainul Abidin Rasheed will visit the Islamic Republic of Iran from 30 April to 5 May 2008. SMS Zainul will lead the Singapore delegation to the 8th Indian Ocean Rim-Association for Regional Cooperation Council of Ministers' Meeting in Tehran on 4 May 2008. This forum aims to explore areas of economic cooperation amongst Indian Ocean littoral and island states.

Besides Tehran, SMS Zainul will visit the province of Isfahan from 1 to 3 May 2008. SMS Zainul will hold bilateral meetings with Iranian leaders and senior officials in both Tehran and Isfahan.

SMS Zainul will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
