MFA Press Statement: Call on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong by Japanese Minister of Defence Shigeru Ishiba, 31 May 2008

Japanese Minister of Defence Shigeru Ishiba called on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Istana on 31 May 2008. Prime Minister Lee and Minister Ishiba discussed developments in East Asia, including the recent earthquake in China, Japan's relations with the regional countries, and how Japan can continue to play a constructive role in the region. They also exchanged views on bilateral relations and defence policies in Japan and Singapore.
