Republic of Korea Foreign Minister Yu Myung-hwan called on Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo at the Shangri-La Hotel on 21 July 2008. During the call, Minister Yeo and Foreign Minister Yu exchanged views on how to further strengthen Singapore-ROK bilateral relations. Both ministers also took the opportunity to discuss ASEAN-ROK relations, the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF), progress in the Six-Party talks and North and South Korean relations.
Foreign Minister Yu is in Singapore at the invitation of Minister Yeo. While in Singapore, Foreign Minister Yu will call on President, PM and SM on 22 July 2008. He will also attend meetings held in conjunction with the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting including the 15th ARF from 22-24 July 2008.
