MFA Press Statement: Call on President S R Nathan by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Korea Yu Myung-hwan, 22 July 2008

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Korea Mr Yu Myung-hwan called on President S R Nathan this afternoon. Minister Yu is visiting Singapore at the invitation of Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo. During the call, President Nathan and Minister Yu affirmed the strong ties between Singapore and the Republic of Korea, and exchanged views on the Northeast Asia security environment. President Nathan also invited the Republic of Korea to deepen its engagement with ASEAN.
