Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo, who is in New York from 21 September to 1 October 2008 to attend the 63rd session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly, met with Mr Terje Roed-Larsen, the President of the International Peace Institute on 30 September 2008. They discussed a wide range of issues including the situation in the Middle East, and the global financial crisis and its effects on the real economy.
Minister Yeo will depart New York on 1 October 2008 and travel to Washington DC.
