In response to press queries on the remarks by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, the MFA Spokesman said,
"We are extremely concerned about the situation on the Thai-Cambodian border. Whatever their differences, we hope that both parties will not lose sight of their broader common interests and the interests of the region as a whole. We urge both sides to contain emotions, exercise restraint and resolve the issue through negotiations without resorting to force."
