His Highness the Aga Khan will be making his third visit to Singapore from 1 to 3 December 2008. His Highness visited Singapore in 1983 as part of his Silver Jubilee celebrations and made a private visit in 1987. His Highness is the hereditary Imam of the Shia Ismaili community.
During his visit, His Highness will pay a courtesy call on President S R Nathan and meet Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo. Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong will host lunch for His Highness while Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs Yaacob Ibrahim will host His Highness to dinner. His Highness will also visit the Singapore City Gallery and the Asian Civilisations Museum.
While in Singapore, His Highness will also celebrate his Golden Jubilee with the Ismaili community from the Asia Pacific region, to commemorate the fiftieth year of his accession to the Imamat.
