PM Lee has written a condolence letter to Prime Minister of Tonga Dr. Feleti Vaka'ata Sevele on the destruction to Tonga by the South Pacific Tsunami.
The text of the letter is below:

Dear Prime Minister
I am saddened to learn of the loss of lives and damage in Tonga caused by the tsunami in the South Pacific. On behalf of the Government of Singapore, I would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the people of Tonga who are affected by the tsunami and our condolences to the families of the victims.
