A group of 25 senior officials of the Sri Lanka Government will be in Singapore from 26 October to 6 November 2009 for a two-week Public Sector Leadership Programme. These senior officials, the majority of whom are Deputy Secretaries, represent various ministries and districts in Sri Lanka. The Leadership Programme aims to equip the senior Sri Lankan government officials with skills to manage and drive change in their public service. The Leadership Programme will also provide the Sri Lankan senior officials a deeper understanding and appreciation of how Singapore's public sector leaders formulate policies and address the challenges of governance. The two-week course will include site visits to Singapore government agencies, such as the Housing Development Board (HDB), Land Transport Authority (LTA) and Port of Singapore Authority (PSA).
