The President of the Russian Federation, His Excellency Dmitry Medvedev, will make a State Visit to Singapore at the invitation of President S R Nathan from 15-16 November 2009. President Medvedev will be accompanied by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation and Head of Apparatus of the Government of the Russian Federation Sergey Sobyanin, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov, Aide to the President Sergey Prihodko, Aide to the President Arkady Dvorkovich, Minister of Telecommunications and Mass Communications Igor Shchegolev, Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District of the Russian Federation Victor Ishaev, Governors, officials, as well as a business delegation.
This will be the first visit to Singapore by a Russian President. President Medvedev will call on President S R Nathan, and have meetings with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong and Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew. He will also be hosted to a state banquet by President Nathan.
