On 27 January 2010, Minister George Yeo attended the Opening Plenary on the first day of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Davos Meetings 2010. Minister Yeo met several foreign leaders and dignitaries. Minister Yeo had a bilateral meeting with Qatar Minister of State for International Cooperation and Acting Minister of Business and Trade Dr Khalid Bin Mohamed Al Attiyah to discuss bilateral relations as well as on the WEF Global Re-design Initiative (GRI), of which Singapore, Qatar, Switzerland and Tanzania are co-patrons.

On 28 January 2010, Minister Yeo had a working breakfast with Interpol Secretary-General Ronald K Noble, met with WEF Special Advisor Lord Mark Malloch Brown to discuss Singapore's participation in the WEF GRI and hosted a Ministerial-level Global Governance Group (3G) lunch meeting at the sidelines of the Davos Meetings as a follow-up to the 3G Ministerial breakfast meeting held in New York during the 64th UN General Assembly Session in September 2009. At the 3G lunch, the group agreed that the 3G should continue to seek ways to channel the views of small and medium-sized UN states into the G20 process.

Minister Yeo will take part in a panel discussion on State Leadership: An Opportunity for Global Action in the afternoon.
