Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong hosted dinner for former United Nations Secretary-General Mr Kofi Annan on 24 February 2010 at the Istana. Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo and Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Zainul Abidin Rasheed also attended the dinner. Mr Annan, who is the first Li Ka-shing Professor at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, arrived in Singapore this morning and will be in Singapore from 24 February to 3 March 2010. Mr Annan is currently the President of the Global Humanitarian Forum and is involved in several other organisations including the Kofi Annan Foundation. Senior Minister Goh and Mr Annan had a wide-ranging and friendly exchange of views on recent international developments.
