MFA Press Statement: Call on Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong by the Chairman of the Bahrain Council of Representatives Khalifa Bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani, 6 April 2010

The Chairman of the Bahraini Council of Representatives His Excellency Khalifa Bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani called on Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong this afternoon at the Istana. Chairman Khalifa is visiting Singapore from 5-8 April 2010 at the invitation of Speaker of Parliament Abdullah Tarmugi. During the meeting, SM Goh and Chairman Khalifa reaffirmed the close ties between the two countries. SM Goh said that Singapore and Bahrain were both small countries and there was much which the two countries could learn from each other. The two leaders also exchanged views on developments in the Middle East, including the situation in Iran.
