I was deeply shocked to learn about the tragic death of President Lech Kaczyński, his wife Maria, and many others who were killed in a plane crash today. On behalf of the people of Singapore, I extend my deepest condolences to the government and people of Poland over this unexpected tragedy. Our hearts go out to all the families of the bereaved and the people of Poland as you mourn their loss.
